"With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith." (2 Thes 1:11)
I'm really liking the concept here at Vision Prayer -- helping any of us build and communicate with our network of friends who will pray with us toward our calling. What exactly is that calling?
For me, it's a call to help the Church of Jesus Christ in a city 'be the Church', by:
- "Linking 4 Change" -- Link the Bible-believing pastors, leaders, and other 'driven Christians' in a city who purpose to work together to carry out the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. This is primarily done through IndyChristian.com and many relational networks and their activities around the city, state and across the country. And mostly, free of charge.
- "Scoring 4 Change" -- Help ministries 'measure their mission' and its key goals, relationships, processes, and innovative capabilities in order to better carry it out daily in accordance with God's perspective. This is primarily accomplished through personal consulting/contracting, using the Christian Scorecard decision-support model.
If you're not familiar with our team site, please stop by IndyChristian.com . Likewise, it might be helpful to visit my personal site, LovingChange.com .
Bottom line... I really do need your prayers. And likewise, I'm willing to pray for you as well... and especially your most important life-goals. If you'll take a look at the 'Prayer Requests' page (link at right), you'll see I've written out some goals for which I know I need your prayer support. And that format may or may not be something you'd like to do -- that is, write out your most important goals and send them to me so I'd know best how to pray for you as well..
So if you're willing to join the team praying for me, click the 'Join' link at right, and let me know. There is no obligation to do anything other than pray. And I'm elated at the prospect that you'd join me in that way; and that I too could join you in prayer.
We're at the tip of the iceberg -- let's see what God might have in mind through our unity in prayer together.
"The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. " (Ps.25)
